Our Specialty Rehabilitation Programs are dedicated to providing exceptional rehabilitation services for our patients to reach their full potential and enhance their quality of life. Our expert team of physicians and therapists create a comprehensive care plan to address the individualized needs of each patient and their family.

Stroke Specialty Rehabilitation Program highlights:

  • West Jefferson holds a prestigious accreditation by The Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center
  • Stroke Specialty Program CARF accreditation since 2006
  • Access to excellent, in-house neurological/neurosurgical services due to our partnership with the renowned Culicchia Neurological Group
  • Over 50% of the therapy staff are Certified Brain Injury Specialists (specializing in stroke and traumatic/non-traumatic brain injury)
  • Weekly Stroke Education Class for patients and/or caregivers
  • Specialized Stroke Team including dedicated Physical Therapist/Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist/Occupational Therapist Assistant, Speech-Language Pathologist and Social Worker
  • All staff CPI-certified (Crisis Prevention Institute)
  • Leisure Activities Program, including Pet Therapy, available 6 days/week
  • Specialty equipment including Vital Stim and Biodex Unweighting Machine Machine as well as various types of equipment designed to ensure patient safety (e.g., Secure Care Wander Guard system, actual and virtual sitters, bed and wheelchair alarms, wheelchair seatbelts)
